Veronica, Life in Flow Reiki

You may have met me already and are already bracing yourself for a long-winded, waffling, half chanelled, meandering tale that somehow lost the point somewhere in the wilderness of no hope of making it back to anything remotely resembling a POV (being hip is a pastime of mine, how am I doing?). For those who've not yet met me, I'm Veronica and I love to wax lyrical on the wonders of energy work, connecting with spirit guides, angelic beings, ascended masters and Galactic healers of surprising, and often startling, appearance. I thought I would have a go at sharing my thoughts in a way that allows me time for a much needed edit, so that I'm able to form a cohesive stream of consciousness that doesn't require a map, compass and an impressive will to live to endure it.

This first effort is an intro to what Reiki means to me as a resource for others. Later blogs could literally be about anything but I will aim to have topics related to how Reiki can be integrated into all aspects of life and beyond, including ascension, other spiritual tools and resources, and interesting tidbits I love to share with anyone interested (and even those not remotely interested but who have the misfortune to be standing next to me for more than a couple of minutes) about spiritual stuff.

What Reiki means to me

Being a Reiki practitioner is both simple and mysterious. Simple, because at its heart it’s just me showing up with an open heart and a pair of hands. Mysterious, because again and again I witness people leaving a session lighter, softer, or a little more at peace—and I can’t always explain how it happens.

People come to Reiki with all sorts of wobbles—emotional strain, mental fog, physical discomfort, or that deep, searching sense of “something’s off.” When they arrive, they’re often carrying more than they realize. And my role isn’t to fix or advise—it’s to hold a space where they can breathe, release, and remember what wholeness feels like.

You could joke that being a Reiki practitioner is like being a human beanbag chair: supportive, nonjudgmental, and surprisingly good at helping someone relax. I wouldn't, but you could. There’s an honour, a reverence in simply being present with another person while they navigate whatever storm or stretch of stillness they’re in. Reiki isn’t about me doing something to someone; it’s about creating conditions where their own natural capacity for balance can switch back on.

Hands channeling reiki energy hold a vibrant, golden orb symbolizing healing and cosmic connection.

What I love most is witnessing those big and small shifts. The sigh that releases years of tension. The quiet tear that clears something unspoken. The smile that sneaks back onto a tired face. These aren’t grand fireworks moments—they’re quiet miracles. And they remind me that supporting others on their journey is a privilege, one I don’t take lightly.

I’m not a guru or a perfect being with flawless routines. I’m a person who believes in the power of presence, and in the way energy can nudge us back toward ourselves. Reiki continues to teach me humility, patience, and the beauty of simply showing up.

So yes—this is what I love to do: I support people as they navigate their way through their world, as they search, heal, and grow. And each session is a gentle reminder that none of us has to do this life thing alone.

If you made it this far, I thank you most sincerely and greatly admire your willingness to stick it out to the end. What does Reiki mean to you? Feel free to share in the comments below.
